I'm Engaged...Now What: Creating Vision and Color Through The Chakras
Chakra is a Sanskrit (the language of yoga) word meaning disc or wheel. According to the yoga philosophy, there are seven main chakras (energy centers) located along the spine. Each chakra is associated with a specific color, part of the body, emotional quality, and spiritual attribute. The seven main chakras are listed below with benefits of using each color as a theme for your upcoming wedding:
Muladhara Chakra (Root of Support)
Color: Red
Location: Base of the spine at the coccyx
Association: Survival, support
The first chakra is our foundation. It represents stability and the possibility of being grounded. Red is a great color for a wedding because of its association with the first chakra. Being grounded on your wedding day allows you to move through the many range of emotions, feelings, and experiences with an open heart.
Swadhisthana Chakra (Sweetness)
Color: Orange
Location: Lower abdomen to navel area
Association: Emotions & sexuality
